Exfoliate 24 hours prior to your spray tan with a basic loofah or wash rag. Also, stay away from any heavy exfoliating oils. After showering DO NOT apply lotions, oils, or perfumes.
Shaving should be done 12 hours before your spray tan. Streaks may be an issue in your final tan if you shave right before due to the wax from the shaving bar.
Manicures, pedicures, and waxing should all be done prior to your spray tan.
Make sure to bring loose fitting clothes with you for after your spray tan.
To the appointment: Loose fitting dark clothes.
During the tan: Bra/underwear, swimwear, or nude. Whatever you are most comfortable with.
Absolutely NO soap.
A really slow rinse with luke-warm water is best. Only use your hands to remove the bronzer, and focus your attention to your legs, behind your arms, etc.
The #1 cause for streaks is that the bronzer was not rinsed off properly and can stain the skin for a few days.
Hop back in the shower and do another rinse. If that doesn’t help, rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab will help remove the streak. Keep in mind that it will also remove the tan in the area you apply it to and you will need to respray if that happens.
Wait 12 hours AFTER your initial rinse before applying any kind of lotion. CeraVe is a great option. Moisturizing is the key to prolong your spray tan so moisturizing twice daily will give you the best results. It’s also important to stay hydrated and drink lots of water throughout the day.
Wait 24 hours for it to fully develop after rinsing. If it’s still not dark enough, you can respray over it.
Try rinsing again, soak in a bath tub, or sit in a sauna/jacuzzi. These methods will remove some of the bronzer to lighten the color.
Yes! The most important thing to remember is that the solution does not contain any UV protection/sunscreen. You will still be able to develop a tan naturally in the sun.
NO! You will be blotchy.
Yes, it will remove majority of the tan and/or lighten it. Seawater, chlorine, and hot tubs can accelerate the fading of the tan. I recommend wearing waterproof sunscreen to help repel the water.
DHA is FDA approved and only penetrates the outermost layer of the skin. There is no evidence that DHA is harmful. However, we do recommend that you consult with your physician first.
Not unless you are completely healed. You should never tan with healing/open wounds.
Only if the area is completely healed.

I recommend scheduling a patch test prior to coming in for a full spray tan.
Normally yes, but a waiver will need to be signed prior to getting spray tanned.
Yes, the first few days minimum cosmetic bronzer might minimally rub off on your clothes etc. But, most cosmetic bronzer does rinse off.
Please visit the scheduling option above and select your desired appointment time to spray tan with Heather.
The best time to get spray tanned before any event is 2-3 days prior.
Please wait 16 - 24 hours and we recommend additionally rinsing off prior to working out. This will wash away any remaining bronzer – which is the cosmetic portion of your spray tan.
No, you will not appear orange with a Belle Vie Glow Tan. We use the highest quality solution, Dolce Glow, and guarantee that you will not turn orange.
The length of your spray tan depends on the maintenance afterwards. Most people notice their tan beginning to fade after about 4-7 days. Moisturizing and staying hydrated are two important factors to support the length of your tan.
